If one so wishes to hike further up the mountain from the Ryoken, they will find a lovely lake, with waters that are so clear they look as if it isn't there. An old Torii gate sits at the entrance of the trail that leads to the lake, and an old forgotten shrine of a god of wisdom.

The old god still lives there, if one wishes to seek wisdom. Yokai and human alike the old man will give the advice you seek.  Though the last time Tomoe had talked to the old coot, he talked more in riddles than anything. His mind slowly falling away as the humans forget about him.

Takamitsu is likely the only god Tomoe doesn't want to kill on site. He can't help but feel sorry for the old god, watching as his mind slowly melts away.

Though the shrine sits above the water, with stepping stones to make the way easier, Takamitsu can be seen sitting most days on the deck around it. Fishing pole in hand, catching his dinner.

The Lake that the shrine sets in, is a lovely view as one crests the mountain peak to look down upon it.

The path winding down to both the old shrine and the crystal clear lake. Fish are easily seen swimming about in the still wild lake.

Though the best part about going to the lake is the flowers that bloom around the edge of it. Blooming only once a year for a week around the Summer Solstice.

The only thing that will enrage the old god, is taking one of these flowers with out permission.

Their scent is unlike any ever smelled, smelling different to every person. They always smell like what the person desires most. Reminding them of home, a person, or perhaps something else.

Other than the smell, Tomoe doesn't know much else about them...

*From the Ryoken to the Lake is about a half a day hike for a human that is in good shape.

*Yes the map is up side down. Sorry about that. But think of this large body of water, the Sea of Japan towards Korea/China, if you care to know.
